Directed by Iranian-Danish filmmaker Ali Abbasi and written by Vanity Fair journalist Gabriel Sherman, who has long covered Trump and his allies, the film delves into the complexities of Trump’s early life and political rise. Roy Cohn, portrayed in the film, was a significant influence on Trump before he died of AIDS-related complications in 1986.
