The bombing, orchestrated by an ISIS-K member at Kabul’s Hamid Karzai International Airport, claimed the lives of 13 U.S. service members and left 18 others wounded. The deadly event also resulted in over 150 civilian casualties. Amid these reflections, former President Donald Trump participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery to honor the fallen Americans—a gesture not mirrored by Biden or Harris.

Schmitz’s son, U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Jared Schmitz, was among those killed. Cheryl Juels, Gold Star Aunt of fallen Marine Corps Sgt. She dismissed any gestures from Biden and Harris as insincere, instead praising Trump for his ongoing support and personal engagement with the families, underscoring a strong preference for his return to office.

The families, unified in their grief, appear to be channeling their advocacy and support toward reinstating Trump, whom they believe will better safeguard military personnel.
Adding to the gravity of the situation, Fox News noted that the suicide bomber responsible for the attack was allegedly released from Bagram Air Base after the Taliban took over, further complicating the narrative of the U.S. withdrawal and its execution.
